The Camp
Experience three days of intensive, personalized coaching with Olympic-level technology and expertise.
Camp Itinerary
Friday Evening: Arrival + Immersion
6:00 PM — Optional Welcome Swim
Begin your weekend with a relaxed shakeout swim led by Olympic Head Coach Todd DeSorbo. This optional session helps you loosen up after travel, meet your fellow swimmers, and get comfortable in the pool before the technical work begins.
7:30 PM — Catered Dinner + Tech Preview
Enjoy a catered dinner with your coaches and fellow athletes. After dinner, Dr. Ken Ono and the Velocity team will walk you through the testing protocols and technologies you'll experience over the weekend—from EO sensors to 3D motion tracking. You'll get a preview of how your data will be collected, analyzed, and turned into a customized performance report.
8:30 PM — Testing Plan Review
Our team will meet with you to let you know what your testing plan is and make any final tweaks so that every piece of data is relevant to your goals.

Saturday Morning: Testing & Analysis
8:00 AM — Catered Breakfast
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM — Testing + Data Collection
You'll rotate through a series of performance tests tailored to your stroke and goals.
- EO Force Sensors to analyze propulsion
- Accelerometers capturing 3D motion at 512Hz to find even the smallest opportunities in your technique
- High-speed Start + Turn Video to find time drops at the most important parts of the race
Our team will be capturing every detail to build your personalized swim profile.
12:00 PM – 2:30 PM — Lunch and Rest Period
Enjoy a catered lunch followed by dedicated downtime to refuel, nap, and reset for the afternoon session. This intentional break allows your body and mind to process the morning's work and prepare for the technical training ahead.

Saturday Afternoon: Coaching + Application
2:30 PM – 5:30 PM — Swim + Dryland Work
Join Todd in a small group (4-6 athletes) for a deep dive into skill development and technique. Expect a session focused on drills, efficiency, and flow, that ends with Todd's trademark speed work! You'll get personalized feedback and technique advice during the session.
After the pool, you'll move into a dryland block led by Todd that focuses on the foundations of swim-specific athleticism used by NCAA Champions. It's a carefully designed session that covers:
- Mobility, strength, and activation work tailored to swimming
- Strength training exercises that require minimal equipment and can be replicated at home or on the road
- Core stability, shoulder health, and body awareness—critical elements for maximizing performance in the water
To finish the session, you'll get hands-on time with exclusive UVA training tools and tech—some of which have never been made available to the public.
6:30 PM — Catered Dinner + Report Preparation Begins
Our analysts begin processing your data and assembling your custom performance reports overnight. You'll have the opportunity to use the sauna, ice bath, and hot tub to recover.

Sunday Morning: Feedback & Implementation
8:00 AM — Catered Breakfast
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM — Report Review + High-Performance Work
You'll rotate through three focused stations:
- 1-on-1 Report Review
Sit down with Dr. Ken Ono and the team of analysts to go over your results. You'll leave with an understanding of your swim profile and clear, data-driven next steps. - Starts & Turns Workshop
High-intensity reps off the blocks, captured and reviewed in real time by coaches using video feedback. - Technique Group with Todd
A second small-group (4-6 swimmers) pool session focused on refining what you worked on the day before, with individualized corrections and tactical adjustments.

Post Camp Review: Tracking Your Progress
Virtual Follow-Up Session
Your journey doesn't end when you leave the camp. Submit new video or EO data to us after you've had time to implement our recommendations, and we'll compare your before and after metrics in a virtual call.
This follow-up session ensures you're making progress toward your goals and gives you an opportunity to ask questions that may have come up as you've been implementing the changes.
It's our commitment to your long-term success, not just a weekend of improvement.
